In 2018, my journey from Sydney to Oxford was more than just a move; it was a homecoming, a step into the enchanting world of English academia and culture. Little did I know, amidst the excitement of pursuing my masters, exploring libraries, and indulging in sports, love would find me.
Miranda, a vibrant soul, entered my life during an AFL Grand Final screening. Her energy was infectious, especially as she welcomed fellow Aussies with coffee and avocado bagels. I was drawn to her smile, a beacon of enthusiasm that lit up the pre-dawn darkness.
As I learned more about her, Miranda's accomplishments and passions became clear: a master's in classical archaeology, a rower, president of the Oxford University Australia and New Zealand Society, and a member of one of Oxford's finest chapel choirs. She seemed to know everyone, and her presence was commanding.
I devised a plan to catch her attention without the daunting task of initiating a conversation. During a lively potluck dinner, I took a chance and put her in charge of the music playlist. It was a strategic move, and it paid off.

Despite the challenges of long distance, a global pandemic, and unexpected cohabitation, our love endured. Today, we're settled in Melbourne, surrounded by the love and mischief of our two indoor rabbits.
