Misach Kawamala, a senior presidential advisor on mobilization for the Rwenzori and Tooro sub-regions, delivered a powerful message to the newly appointed youth mobilizers. He emphasized the importance of respectful and constructive dialogue when engaging with communities. Kawamala highlighted that the NRM's strength lies in peaceful communication and showcasing the government's accomplishments.
"We must choose our words carefully when mobilizing," Kawamala stated. "Our goal is to persuade, not to provoke. The NRM is committed to peaceful engagement and demonstrating the progress we've made under this government." He encouraged the mobilizers to intensify their outreach efforts at the village and parish levels, recognizing that active youth participation is critical for the party's future success.
Eriphaz Muhindi, the Kasese District LC5 Chairperson, welcomed the initiative, suggesting that youth involvement could significantly alter political dynamics in a region historically known for its support of opposition parties. "Youth involvement in mobilization demonstrates a growing appreciation for the government's work. It indicates a shift in the political climate," Muhindi noted.
Moses Bwambale, the regional coordinator for the Changed Youths, echoed the group's dedication to securing an NRM victory. "We are prepared to work and make a difference. We will visit the villages, connect with our peers, and ensure the NRM wins with a clear margin," he declared.
